I had started my last post when I thought we were ready to get out of here. We had a problem with one of the laptops and I didn't manage to get out of there until much later. A trip to Wal-Mart at 11:30 bailed us out of a major problem. We couldn't find a modem to send with a laptop. I had scoured the office, but no one uses a modem any more or the modem is internal to the laptop.
What was supposed to be the last stage took us 3 hours to get figured out. I left work a little after 1:30 this morning. Jill hopped on a plane at 3:00 this morning to take the laptops to Sacramento.
I did get to go look at Mars. That was a plus, but I hate being under the gun like that.
This morning I slept in and then went to Fry's. I bought components to replace my fried motherboard and CPU. I ended up buying the Soyo Dragon 2 - Platinum, a 2.8 GHz processor, and some ultra fast memory. When I got to work, I spent two hours in surgery before the patient came back to life. I have yet to put it through it's full paces, but so far, I'm quite pleased.
So basically, I've had a really busy few days.
