It's been an exhausting week. I'm currently on coast for the rest of the week.
I spent a lot of time cleaning my apartment last weekend. The bathrooms now look like no one lives there, but at least they are clean. If only I could get the rest of the apartment to be like that.
I've been doing a lot of cooking this week and have discovered that Stubb's barbecue sauce is really, really good. Friday Dezi got a new laptop from her parents as her graduation present. She was all excited about it, but has been spending a lot of time studying. She finished her finals yesterday and now she can play. Saturday went over to Dezi's grandparents. People were in from out of town and they wanted to get together.
It was my Sunday to plan youth. We'd decided a while back to have a barbecue picnic and play capture the flag. It was a beautiful day, but we had a group that refused to do anything we asked them to do.
I'm really out of it today. And it has nothing to do with being under the influence of a chemical substance. It's called lack of sleep. Tuesday night Yaser and I stayed all night trying to figure out how to get DB2 loaded on a Linux box. It didn't cooperate the way we had hoped that it would. We finally got it to work, but there are still some issues to work out. I'm excited to learn Linux, but the learning curve is woefully steep.
This weekend is Dezi's graduation she's getting her Master's in something. It has something to do with child psychology and behavioral medicine. She tells me, but I don't remember which order all the words come in.
Also on tap this weekend is a Coffee House/Talent Show for the youth. It's going to be interesting. Dezi and some of the youth are going to be performing in "Three Chicks and a Uke." Yeah, it's going to be an interesting show.
