Turning a corner
I was talking to my friend Sarah at work today. I was talking to her about the huge undertaking that planning a wedding seems to be. I told her some of my feelings about it and my reservations for the giant obstacle that is before us.
Sarah then asked if I had seen "Father of the Bride." I had seen it, but it had been a long time. She reminded me of the scene where Steve Martin freaks out in the supermaket and starts ripping apart hot dog buns since they put the wrong number of buns to hot dogs and the gets sent to jail. Diane Keaton comes to bail him out. Before she does, she makes him raise his right hand and swear not to freak out anymore. "Every sigh, every roll of your eyes takes a little piece away from your little girls happiness." (Sorry I'm paraphrasing here)
Thank you Sarah for that great advice, I'm definitely going to take it to heart.
