Dancing Fools
Last Friday Dezi and I went to Cowboy's Red River to go dancing. We arrived a little after 8:00 to find an almost empty dance hall. By 11:00 we had just about worn ourselves out while a sizeable crowd had gathered. When they started playing hip-hop Dezi was ready to leave, but I asked that we stay for a minute and watch people dancing on the bars. I'm glad we did because we witnessed a great example of drunk exhibition games.
One gentleman who was in his mid-to-late 40's was having a grand time. He got on top of one of the bars and proceeded to "dance." The two ladies he was with were encouraging him by putting dollar bills in the tops of his jeans. At this point he begins unbuttoning his shirt. He undoes all the buttons and is in the process of removing his shirt when a bouncer reaches him and lets the "dancer" know that's not a good idea. We left a few moments later, but that has had me smiling since Friday. It's a shame someone didn't get a picture. It would make a great public service announcement.
