Adventerous Weekend
It was a very busy weekend. I have several stories to recount all from this weekend.
Friday Dezi and I went to our church's date night. Dezi posted about the program on the Mr. & Mrs. Rollins site. I'd had a rough day, but we had a good time. Service was sub standard unfortunately but the food was good and the company was great.
Saturday Josh and I got a wild hair and headed off to Waco to see the Baylor vs. A&M game. We bought some tickets off a scalper who promised us they were 45-yard line tickets. Paid more than we should have, but figured the seats would be worth it. We got into the stadium and discovered that our seats weren't quite at the 45-yard line. They were past the end zone. Josh and I just looked at each other and said, "Good for him." He'd spotted a couple of suckers and played us well. We found our seats and got ready for the game. When I sat down the gentleman next to me asked what he'd taken us for. He had aparrently sold the tickets in a hurry for a third of what we paid for them. We continued to laugh about it. Honestly, Josh and I were just glad to be there. The game was a great game. Lot's of back and forth the whole game. I was horse this morning from all the yelling we did. We did learn that we were in the coachs' section and one of the ladies near Josh's seat was Coach Fran's wife. In the end the Aggies won and we left very happy.
Today was a fun day. We had "Trunk Or Treat" at the church. The idea is that church members setup decorations and everything and pass out candy from the trunk of their cars. Youth started after all the festivities and we had a giant game of capture the flag. When that was over we all piled on a trailer for a hayride. The kids love it when it's a fast and furious ride with lots of twists and turns. Well this was a little more crazy than normal. One of the girls fell off after a particularly sharp turn. Scared us all to death, but she was fine. A few scrapes on her elbows seemed to be the worst of it.
I actually really let it all go this weekend and feel ready for the week.
