What's In a Name?
I have been in the process of changing my name with various entities, such as the bank, school, and other places. It was difficult to sign my last name as Rollins at first, but I'm getting more proficient at it. I am also getting better at introducing myself with my new last name. And I know it'll get easier with time.
Today I changed my name at school. Of course, I can't get my student i.d. changed until after I register, which sounds goofy to me, but they have their reasons for doing it that way. So now I am officially listed as Desiree Muse Rollins at UNT. Now let's just see how long it takes everyone to use the new last name.
One more place down, several to go....

By the way, when Jeff and I got married, I worked next to the corporate office. I official name was Elizabeth Menn, and then when my name changed it said Elizabeth Smith. Everyone knew me as Lisa Menn, and when they saw Smith, multiple people were like "Who's Lisa Smith?". But it didn't get too long for everyone to get adjusted, but it is kinda funny how that all works. And yes, it sure takes forever it seems making sure you have EVERYTHING changed!
