Our First Wedding!
Well, it's technically not our first wedding together, that happened a couple of months after we were dating. It was, however, our first wedding as husband & wife! The bride was David's cousin (and now mine!) Elizabeth. The wedding was at Robert Carr Chapel at TCU in Ft. Worth. The ceremony was simple & elegant. I liked that they had handbells playing and look forward to the day when our church gets handbells.
The reception was held at First Christian Church. I was told to take lotsa pictures. At one point, I had our camera on one arm, and Barbara's camera on the other. I think between the two of us, we took enough pictures! I was also told that the bride & groom had used some ideas that they got from our wedding, such as the chiming of the hour. That made me feel really happy!
A lot of David's family was there, and as always, it was good to visit with them! It was interesting going to a wedding after having been through one myself. I'm glad I'm finished with all of that! I was watching Elizabeth continually rearrange her train, and remembered doing that. Trains are pretty, but they are a pain to deal with! Both Elizabeth & Chris looked happy, and I wish them a lifetime of love & happiness!
