Picnic in the Park

Friday afternoon, David and I decided that it was a perfect night for a picnic. I stopped by the store to get food, and we packed up the picnic backpack that I gave David for Valentine's Day. It looks similar to this:



We chose to go to nearby Beavers Bend Park, since I knew they had picnic tables and a walking trail. We feasted on tomato bisque, hummus and melba toast, babybel cheese, sparkling grape juice with pudding for dessert. The weather was absolutely perfect, and the park wasn't too crowded. Roxie was excited because she got to go, too! After dinner, we took a nice long walk around the park. All in all, it was a very nice evening! I think our backpack was very handy and I look forward to using it again!
