Holidaze

As the holiday season draws nigh, David and I have been asked what our plans are. There are also other things to think about involved with our first holiday season as a married couple. How do we divide up our time between our families? How are we going to celebrate the holidays? What traditions of our own are we going to start?

Well, I don't know the answer to all of those questions. I do know that we will enjoy the holiday season together. One tradition that David and I talked about is going to the late service on Christmas Eve. This is something that I've always wanted to do, and am looking forward to it!

My family, as well as David's family, draws names for Christmas gifts. In years past, I always went to my grandparents' house on Christmas Eve, to open up presents from the Muse family. On Christmas morning, my parents and I would open our presents to each other. Finally, Christmas night, mom's side of the family comes over to my parents' house to open gifts.

This year? Since we're doing Thanksgiving with the Breedlove/Rollins family, we'll do Christmas with my family. I know what we'll do Christmas Eve & Christmas night, but what about Christmas morning? Do we open our presents to each other? Do we go visit my parents? I kind of like the idea of having a nice Christmas breakfast on our china, or even a Christmas lunch, but we'll see what happens.

One thing that I can cross off my list: Christmas cards! I was at Walgreens the other day, and they had a really good deal on Christmas cards. So I bought two boxes. I'm really excited about sending out our first Christmas cards as a married couple! I haven't started shopping yet, but at least we have our cards! I'm really looking forward to the holiday season!

Hooray!

We have our official wedding album! I picked it up yesterday. It looks absolutely amazing! I am really impressed and pleased. So is David! One of our photographers said that our first page was her very favorite first page! The album has a combination of color, black and white and some pictures that are both.

We have pictures on top of pictures, some photos that take up two pages, others that take up a small amount of space. It is not a typical wedding photo album. Yes, there are the standard posed pictures, but we chose a photojournalistic style for our wedding photography. It is unique and wonderful! I'm happy to show it off!
